Wire references

Instead of a long wire, a connection can be drawn as a short lead at each end with a flag naming the other end (→ U1:X5.7). Click a flag to jump to its partner. Inside a subsystem’s detail view, the parts it connects to outside show up as small off-page blocks instead, as the shutdown circuit’s AIR coil feeds do in the example.

  • Each wire’s Draw setting cycles Auto → Wire → Ref; a cable has one setting for all its conductors.
  • On Auto, a wire becomes a reference when it leaves its subsystem, or when its route would loop around blocks. Turn either rule off on the Sheet tab.
  • In the PDF, off-page blocks note “See sheet 1” and collapsed subsystems note their detail sheet.
